Why County Executive

Legacy is not lost to Cory Sebastian.

Cory's deep roots in Wisconsin position her as a dedicated advocate for the community. Growing up between Racine and Milwaukee, Cory was influenced by her father, a former Milwaukee firefighter/EMT and chef, and her mother, a successful business owner and non-profit leader, both known for their unwavering commitment and resilience. Her childhood memories of the Racine County Fair, the Racine Zoo, North Beach, and the vibrant community spirit of Racine County have instilled in her a lifelong passion for making a positive impact.

After graduating from The Prairie School and spending time studying at UWM, Cory took on the role of managing her family’s restaurant, Sebastian’s, which has been a cornerstone of Racine County for 24 years. Her business acumen and financial mindset propelled her into the world of non-profits and community service where she found her passion for local politics.

Now a respected business owner, Cory currently sits on the Board of Directors for the United Way Racine, the Racine Community Foundation, and the Racine Zoo.

Cory is also the Former Board Chair of the YMCA and current Vice Chair of the Ascension Foundation of the State of Wisconsin.

Most recently, Cory was honorably elected to serve as Alder for the 15th District of Racine, WI, and serves as the Vice Chair of the Finance Committee.
